Bug-a-Booo, en español Penadito o (Penadinho en el original) serves as the main character of the Bug-a-Booo franchise. He made his debut in 1963 as a character for the comic strip Cebolinha, which later evolved into Monica's Gang.

Bug-a-Boo manifests as an air mass that has a humanoid shape and can exert pressure on objects, which renders his true form invisible. This forces him to wear a sheet to reveal himself. His sheet has black eyes with white pupils, reminiscent of Mushroomers from Super Mario.
