Dustine (known by her original name Cascuda) is a recurring character in Monica's Gang. Her full name in Portuguese is Maria Cascuda, but it's speculated that her true name is actually either Maria Cassandra or Gabriela Silva. She first appeared in Cebolinha #18 (Abril)'s opening comic "O Grande Amor do Cascão" (lit. "Smudge's Love"), back in 1974.
Appearance[]
Dustine has blonde curly hair, occasionally seen with a blue or pink dress, buckled shoes and bows in her hair. Competitive, fun, rigorous and intelligent.
Personality[]
Dustine is Smudge's girlfriend (although he has been shown flirting with other girls in some comics). She often complains about Smudge's fear of water and, in Monica Teen, forced him to bathe, or else she'd break up with him. Dustine actually also likes getting dirty, but she still bathes after doing so, unlike Smudge.
She is good friends with Monica, Maggy, and the other girls.
