Characters may sometimes interact with the stage itself, borders of the screen, or the viewer. This act is known as Breaking The Fourth Wall. It often happens in Monica Toy.

- The Five Magic Strands Of Hair: Smudge tells the audience that Jimmy Five has gone insane ("Se ha puesto loco veramente, ¿no?" (He really is out of his mind, huh?) after the latter wishes the former were clean.
- Roller Skates... For Me?: After Maggy criticizes how he and Jimmy Five play with Samson while Monica is in danger, Smudge says, "Listen up, Maggy! This is here just a cartoon and no one ever gets hurt!" (Portuguese "Escuta, Magali! Isto aquí es um desenho animado, ninguém se machuca!") Monica also worries about her fate, saying that she is about to end for the first time before the story itself ends just seconds afterwards, whilst facing the camera. ("Por la primera vez, voy a finir después do fim de la história.")
- A Greek's Gift: After Smudge calls the Trojan Horse "Trojan Doggy" (due to a plothole), Cebolinha notices the mistake and yells that it is a Trojan Horse.
