Isabel "Annie" (Aninha in the Brazilian version) is a recurring character in Monica's Gang. Isabel is a very responsible, articulate and independent little girl. Because of this conscious personality, she seems to be older than her age, observed by the entrepreneurial mind, the way she organizes her things and the way she works with the crowd. Always being perceptive, sweet, feminine and loving, as well as, of course, being very jealous – the only part where she errs on common sense, and ends up being "freaky", she lives with her head held high and doesn't take any insults home! That's why the way she attacks when she sees Bucky making fun of other girls, how could a girl full of autonomy accept such embarrassment? She gets angry! Isabel is a young, modern and empowered girl, focused on more mature and youthful hobbies. She is older than most of the girls in the group, which is why she is rarely shown playing with dolls and houses, as she prefers to date and occupy herself with more mature things. To get revenge on Bucky, from time to time she appears flirting with other boys, but in the end her heart belongs solely to him. Just like Rosie and Chuck Billy, Isabel's relationship is made up of back and forth. She pays close attention to Bucky when he gives more attention to other girls (a very recurring fact). She made her first appearance in a story published in the eighteenth edition of Chuck Billy's magazine, in April 1983. She only started to actually get coppery brown hair, like Denise, in the following years. Over time, she also gained more personality in the stories, as a young and independent girl, originally created just to be Bucky's jealous girlfriend. In Monica Adventures, for example, they updated the character, producing new additional arcs and a saga in which she stars individually, without the participation of her boyfriend.

Personality

Annie is Bucky's girlfriend and is older than the rest of the girls in the gang. She is lovely but can get a little jealous when someone other than her hangs out with Bucky.

Appearance

In the older comics, Annie sometimes changed her appearance. She went from having brown long hair until she appeared with her final design: Long light brown hair with bangs, and a seafoam green shirt and skirt of any color, and pink mary janes.
