Monica Toy

Monica Toy is a spin-off of the Monica's Gang series. It used to be called Turma Da Monica Toy, but its name was shortened. The series uses Chibi Toy Art for animation.

Here, Monica, Jimmy Five, Maggy, and Smudge do various things that often defy physics. Certain other characters like Chico Bento may appear.

A similar series called MoaMoa Toys was launched, featuring similar plotlines.

Whenever an episode starts, Monica tends to walk into the camera's view as she happily kisses Samson in her hands, while a remix of the main series theme plays. She then proceeds to stop in front of the word "Toy" and look toward the camera.

Characters

Main series:

• Monica de Sousa: The leader of the gang. Monica has a red shirt/dress with no trousers. Her feet are bare, and she has buckteeth.

• Samson: Monica's rabbit. Unlike in the main series, he seems to be able to move, quite similarly to Bunny-Bashing Monica. His main method of locomotion is hopping.

• Cebolinha Cebola: The second member of the gang. He takes his design partially from the onion plant. His name means "little onion". His English name is Jimmy Five. He is also Monica's rival.
  • Magali Paulinho: The third member of the gang, Maggy for short. Her most favorite thing to do is eat, and she loves watermelons. Here, she seems to be able to shoot the watermelon's seeds like a gatling gun.
  • Cascão Antenor: The fourth member of the gang. He hates water and tries his best to avoid it, rain, and thunderstorms. His English name is Smudge due to the smudges that cross his cheeks.
  • Franjinha: The genius. He and his pet dog Bidu love making inventions. English Name: Franklin.
    • Bidu: With his English name as Blu, this little guy follows Franklin around. He seems to be more intelligent than he was in his original incarnations.
    • Mingau: With his English name as vanilla, this little guy is Maggy's Angola cat. He is seen sometimes as Bidu's rival. His nickname means: porridge.
    • Chovinista: His English name is Chauvy. He is Smudge's pet pig.
  • Xaveco: The sunny member. He takes his hair's design from the key, hence his name being a pun on the Portuguese A Chave (key). English Name: Sunny.
• Chuck Billy:
  • Chico Bento: The main protagonist of the Turma do Chico Bento sub-series. He is a lazy country boy. English Name: Chuck Billy. For his episodes, Chico Bento enters the screen and stops in front of the word "Toy", cheering and waving on his way. Mónica wears his hat for a Chuck Billy character's cameo.
  • Zé Lelé: With his English name as Zeke. He is Chico Bento's best friend.
  • Rosinha Also known by her English name as Rosie Lee, this girl is Chico Bento's love. She tends to wear a pink dress.
• The Cavern Clan
  • Píteco: This character can also be called "Pitheco". He is an inventor ahead of his time by a bit. For his introes, Pitheco breaks the Fourth Wall by carving the title onto a stone, then blocking the letter O in Toy with his body.
• Lionel's Kingdom:
  • Jotalhão: This character is an elephant that has green skin. He has stubby tusks and retains his personality. During his introes, Jotalhão marches and stops in the middle of the title card, forming the O in toy. English name: Thunder
• Horacio's World:
  • Horácio: The main protagonist. He retains his personality from before. For his introes, Horácio enters the scene, but enters his egg and then performs Yoshi's Egg Roll, stopping in front of the title. Horácio then peeks out of the shell of his egg at the camera.
• Bug-a-Booo:
  • Penadinho: The main protagonist of Bug-a-Booo. He seems more social than in his previous appearances. His intro has him walk onto the screen and then block the O in Toy with his body as lightning flashes. If Penadinho makes a cameo, the normal version of the intro pops up, but lightning flashes.English name:Bug-a-boo

• Guest Stars:
  • D.Va (Overwatch): This character makes an appearance in the short Toywatch. Her design is retained from Overwatch, but now she is shorter due to the Mónica Toy series' animation style.
  • Peter Parker (Spider-Man): This character first appeared in Spider-Man. He himself is also called Spider-Man. Spider-man has his design unchanged due to his appearance being on a poster, but Cascão does impersonate him in one episode where he gets bitten by a spider and gains Spider-man's powers as a result.
  • Anittinha: This character makes an appearance in the new short Anittinha - The Guiding Star. Her design is retained from Anittinha's Club, but now she is shorter due to the Mónica Toy series' animation style.
