Xavier Lorota Filho, commonly known as Sunny (Xaveco in the original) is a recurring character in Monica's Gang.

Appearance

He is blond, with a matching yellow t shirt and black shorts. He has no toes on his feet, a trait that some other characters have.

Personality

This character has a lack of defining features. He is always referred to as "the secondary character", and the main characters always make fun of his apparent uselessness. He constantly attempts to elevate his rank to that of a main character, a trait which he transfers to his teen version in the spin-off series Monica Teen.

• Along with Denise, he is one of Emerson de Abreu's favorite characters in his stories, having been responsible for creating a lore for Sunny with a family and giving him the characteristic of being ridiculed by the other characters for his role as a secondary character in the stories (sometimes even treated as inferior to other secondary characters).
• His English self's real name is Xavier.
• He is the first and only character who has divorced parents.
• Formely, his original name began with "CH" because his hair looked like a key (Chave, in Portuguese).
• His dad, like many of the other characters' dads, looks almost exactly like him, with the exceptions of a taller adult body, a blonde curly mustache, and a larger nose.
• His zodiac sign seems to be Cancer the crab, as seen on the cover of O Aniversário Dos Signos.
• In the original, his last name is Lorota.
• Sunny has some similarities with Butters Stotch from South Park, as they are both blond boys who started out as minor characters without prominence, but after a certain point they began to receive attention to the point of interacting more frequently with the quartet of protagonists, both being unlucky characters who are often ridiculed by the other characters in their series and having problematic families (Sunny with his clumsy father, his neurotic grandmother and his psychotic dog).
